If you missed the game, you missed a good one. The first German attack and goal was so pretty, a real picture of the German style. There were several one touch passes involving a long run up the wing, and a well played cross to Schweinsteiger who knocked it in. It didn't seem like the defenders made any glaring mistakes, but they never even had a chance to get a foot to the ball, or even to challenge an attacker. The attack was just too quick. Attacking midfield play at its best set up the goal.
There was no more of the aimless play that they suffered with against Croatia, they came right up and attacked, took chances, and deserved to win
