Guess who's back! It's been a while since I posted something interesting, and well honestly I'm not sure that today is going to be that day either.
After shusha's visit, I don't know, maybe I felt a little homesick, maybe I was a little tired but I needed a week and a half of recovery until I am now starting to feel up to things. Reading helped. I would recommend Phillip Roth's novel, Portnoy's Complaint, to anyone who has an ... interesting ... family dynamic.
Meanwhile I went to a birthday party at a relatively unknown place, called "Motorenprüfstand Adlershof." This means "Motor testing center" and was built and used by the Nazis to test planes. It's a
large relatively unused field that also has these 10m high concrete
egg-like structures.
I suspect that it might be so empty because it's janz weit draußen, or, in the middle of nowhere. Took me over an hour by train to get there, and I had to change twice then walk a kilometer. And actually, it was pretty near by house compared to most other places. One of the guys there said he flew in and would fly back to Berlin (Schönefeld -> Templehof). I could believe that, but with the beer involved it seemed like a bad bad idea.
In the end I did get to play some fussball and frisbee and I had fun. But, I was sore for about a week. Dieser Muskelkater hinzufügt zum Besuch besagte, dass die Erholung diese eineinhalb Woche dauerte. Entspannen beim lesen ist wirklich gut gewesen und auch gebraucht.
BTW I have been warned that I need to write more in German, so I have to write a little bit there even if I don't want to. Doch macht es spaß.
