HELP ME PLEASE ALL LADIES THAT HAVE HAD THEIR PROM

Today, mark asked me to prom and i really need everyone's help with the appoximate cost of things so i can start planning and saving up. I need the total run down for how much you paid for the dress, make up, manicure, hair, and anything else you can think of.

Seriously, i'd appreciate it.

One of my dresses was around 250 and the other around 350 I think. And those werent the expensive ones :-) But my mom paid for them and otherwise I'm sure I would have spent more time looking for something cheaper. If you look long enough you can find something georgeous in your price range...thrift stores have some awesome finds, it just takes some work. As for hair and makeup, I had a lady do them and I honestly have no idea how much it was (my mom paid again) but so many of my friends did it themselves or had their mom or a friend do it and their hair looked georgeous too. In the end I really dont think you can tell who got their hair and makeup done in an expensive salon and who did it themselves (or cheaply) so I wouldnt worry about that too much. As long as youre happy with it thats all that matters. If you want to take a limo then get a whole bunch of friends to go in it and then you each wont have to pay too much (plus its really fun stuffing a whole bunch of people into a limo). As for afterwards, junior year we just went to someone's house and senior year we went bowling (lol...it was fun!) and then went to a friends house. If I was paying for myself I think I would have gotten a cheaper dress, done my hair and makeup myself (or by a friend) and chipped in for a limo and not done anything afterwards that costs any money. I feel like you can get away fairly cheap but you can also wind up paying a whole lot. And paying a lot usually doesnt mean looking better or having more fun. I hope I helped...I dont remember too many details since it was 2000 and 2001. Anyway...you will look beautiful no matter what because you are natrually (which I'm jelous about by the way...lol) and I'm sure you will also have fun no matter what. I hope you have fun!
