ok so it's raining and all of us are bored. allison and i rearranged our room just bc we were bored. also it looks really cool now.
we're in high gear for our concert friday.
tomorrow i am going to applebee's to eat w/ Aunt Ann and Gma. :)
in "Area III" today, we all met together in one large group in Jones and we went on a "MIND JOURNEY". now what is a mind journey? you may ask. well, it is where you lie down in a comfy position and you relax completely. first he told us to close our eyes, take some deep breaths. then we had to picture a glass jar right beside us and that our energy was being poured into the jar. we had to go from toes to head and we had to give our energy a color. then we had to picture all these things, starting with the room we're in and who's there and who we'd like to be there and such. then we walk to the door and there's a tiny hole and your vision is sucked in the hole and you look and see an infinitely long tunnel w/ a light at the end. *cue scary music* (there really was scary music) and you got closer and closer and finally got to the end and were blinded by the liiiight. then i fell asleep. but Allison told me what happened next. he told us to picture a village and see the structures and roads and stuff and then see the people and look into their eyes deeeep down and see if they were looking at you too. then somethingsomethingsomething and then you had to leave so you slowly back out of the tunnel (i wake up now) and enter back into the room. the jar pours all your energy back in your body and we're back from our Mind Journey! Thanks for flying GSE MIND EXPRESS.
so i've been tired all day cuz of that.
we talked about art in Area II yesterday.
Sunday night was cool. there was a concert of the Raleigh Jazz Orchestra in the Meredith Amphitheater. which was aaaaaaaaawesome. the theme was movie and TV themes. like they played stuff from Cosby show and from Rocky and from the Uninvited and from West Side Story (MARIAAAA-the trumpet solo was sooooo good.) and it was just great. and it was sooo pretty outside too. w/ the lake in the background.
then after that we had a required Area II film which was "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". o man!
i really really liked it. besides all the profanity it was a really great story and it was really emotional too. made you really think about how important memories are. annnnd i loooove Jim Carrey. and also Kate Winslet. and Elijah Wood. and Kirstin Dunst. altogether great cast.
sigh.
i'm lazy and tired.
and bored.
we have a speaker tonight.
woot.
