Never mention a secret to someone if you don't want them to know in the first place since it only bring frustration and guilt. If you want them to know your secret tell them since believing they are worthy to hear it in the first place shows that you already trust them enough in the first place and if you are afraid of how they will react don't since it will prove if your trust was well founded or not.
