Ignoring the stress

Nov 13, 2006 17:00

so its noon, Lauren (girlfriend) and I are stil in bed, and for some reason we started talking about taking the extra water from the melting polar icecaps, and turning Kansas into a giant swimming pool. We started discussing how it would change the weather of the surrounding states.
Then we started talking about starbucks buying 'property'so they could sell their coffee.
Lauren: "So, do you think they'd come up with a device so they wouldn't float too far away."
*TJ Blinks
Lauren: "You know, keep them in the same area so people would know whose property-"
TJ interupts: "like an anchor?"
Lauren: "No! Well...I meant something a little more hightech. But I guess an anchor would do the trick there."

But back to the original question. If we turned kansas into a giant swimming pool using the overflowing water from the melting icecaps, how would the weather change? would it only effect the states around? All of USA? ARE WE SCREWING UP THE ENTIRE WORLD'S ECOSYSTEM?
Someone help me.

Also, is there a more hightech anchor out there? You'd think I know.
