I'm just not good at posting regularly. On anything. Ug.
I'm Volunteering at Duval County Health Department for my Job Corps Work-Based Learning. I've learned a bit about networking and ghosting and the like. The first part of my upcoming A+ exam is in less than a month. I've finished my TAR 1 and Most of my TAR 2. I even have a completion date. June 1st, I go home. Home, I go. I, home, go.
Athena is still stuck in the Cape Coral Hospital. Those bastards won't let her leave and they're threatening to take away my God-Daughter. Yeah, fucking, right. They'll have to go through me before they lay a finger on her. That's MY little Mara, damnit. *growls menacingly*
Anyway. This weekend, I go up to Charlotte, NC with Ryan to spectate, and hopefully participate in a very big MLG event. For those that don't know, MLG stands for Major League Gaming. Ryan and I are going for the Halo 2 competition. Ryan is gonna coach a friend's team, and hopefully compete, and I plan to watch, and maybe compete in FFA (free for all). Though, I don't expect to get past the first round. People who have never played the game before have beaten me and I played it the night it came out. So... yeah. That tells you how good I am at video games. It doesn't mean I like them any less, though.
Next weekend, I'm hitching a ride down to Port Charlotte with my friend Mark. My mom is gonna pick me up from there on Friday afternoon and I plan to go visit Athena almost as soon as I get back in town. I need to be back in Port Charlotte by noon on Sunday, which doesn't give me much time there, but any time at all is a blessing.
I've been really getting into the Myst books and games lately. I bought the game trilogy and I'm in the process of reading the book trilogy. After I've finished with all of those, I plan on getting the rest of the games, of which there are three. So, to recap. Six games, three books.
Trista and Will don't seem very annoyed by my presence anymore. I guess as long as I stay out of their way most of the time, and do a little bit of housework here and there. Fix an air conditioner, clean a bathroom, gather up some dishes, go out and buy some cat food. I guess it helps. I just hope I can keep it up until I'm out of their hair. I have to find a way to make it up to them for them being so nice to me and supporting me for the past 9 months. It'll be almost a year by the time I leave. *sighs*
It's that time again. Where I say farewell to you readers for probably a long while. I'd like to post more often... I really would... but we both know it just won't work out. It's all right. Don't cry. I'll write again, someday. You'll just have to wait. But don't hold your breath. You maybe holding it for a looooooooooooooooooooong time.
