Harry Potter OOTP- My views!
Obviously riddled with film spoilers. I cover likes, dislikes, what the film proves regarding book 7 and things that MADE NO SENSE!!!

Things I liked:-
- I loved every second of Alan Rickman. In this film he's brought more of himself into the role, and a kind of... warmth?? ok, maybe not that, but he came across as definately on the GOOD side!
- The transitions between scenes. this was a big improvement on film 4, which looked like it had been thrown together by a 5 year old.
- Maggie Smith, though hideously underused, was brilliant in the parts she was in. I read a set report a whlie ago that had her on wires for a few days... so maybe we'll see some more of her in the special features. hopefully the part where she gets attacked outside hagrids hut.
- I loved Mrs Figg! she was so cute, I wanted to keep her.
- Dumbledore layed off the Hard-Bastard-GambonDore and was actually in character for most of the film!! yey! HBP now has a chance of working well as a film!
- Emma Watson (aside from her first 2 or 3 scenes) toned down her over-over-over-acting and played her part very well.
- The Occlumency flashes were excellent! particularly the part where Snape, Lily, James and little Harry all appear in the Mirror Of Erised. also the 'I think I'm about to vomit' line was Classic!
- Tonks was very pretty and actually added some depth to her character.
- Stepping into Alfonzo's shoes and trying to please a wide range of ships! almost anything goes in this film... Harry/ron Harry/Hermione Harry/Cedric Luna/Harry, Luna/Thestral Luna/Neville Harry/Snape(!) Lupin/Sirius Harry/Cho Hermione/Gwarp(haha! you know it's true) Bellatrix/Lucius ... the list goes on and on...
- Snape, Lucius, The Twins, Percy (?!) Mr Weasley (?!?!) and Remus Lupin all looked very sexy indeed!!
Things I didn't like:-
- It was never explained that Snape DID infact understand what Harry was on about when he shouted about Padfoot.
- Everyone heard the prophecy. that was dumb. It's supposed to be a big thing about Harry keeping it to himself.
- Dudley turning into a cross-eyed pea brain who couldn't talk very well.
- That grafitti'd manky allyway where the dementors so OOC pinned harry up against the wall.. this is supposed to be an idilic upper middle class estate!!
- Harry's whole 'I have friends and love and I feel sorry for you Voldie' though very well acted... was too far away from book canon for my liking. that epiphany happened a year too soon!
- Neville found the Room of Requirement, and when he did Hermione appeared to know all about it anyway.. why didn't she just suggest it in the first place?
- Music in the common room. I'm all for bringing the muggle/teenage world to the characters but that was wierd. plus cd players don't work in hogwarts, though they did have a radio.
- Sirius's death was very rushed and there seemed no emotional backlog, like there was after Cedric's death. speaking of which-
- this film made out like a slash fans dream! Harry moaning Cedric's name in his sleep.. harry having a picture of Cedric on his wall... so many other parts that have slipped my mind but they were there!!
- neither Fudge or Umbridge annoyed me as much as I anticipated
- I didn't like the extendable ears or the veil. And wanted a closer look at Black's family tree. NO REGULUS!!
Things that it Proved (at least to me) :-
-That Aberforth (Dumbledore's Brother) Is in fact the barman at the Hog's Head. We only know a little about Aberforth, but what we do know is that he got repremanded by the ministry for using inapropriate spells on a goat... and LOOK! the bar man in the Hog's Head has a white beard, and a pet goat that runs away from him. I think this was deliberate indeed!
- Kreacher being in the film proves my theory on how RAB got the locket horcrux.
Things that made NO SENSE:-
- All of the DA had the cutting lines... surely all their parents would have complained??
- When Voldie and Dumbly fought at the end, they were DEFINATELY fighting the same way as harry and voldie were in the forth one.. I.E. Priori Incontartum. DD's and Voldies wands should definately not have reacted like this and I thought it was a stupid mistake to make.
- Redeeming Cho and Harry's relationship ( she was under veritaserum.. not her fault she snitched) when we all know its over.
