I can't sleep!!
So the only thing I can think of doing is updating my LJ. I love the holidays, but they really mess with my sleep-cycle.
I've been writing some poetry recently, and here is one I've just finished. it is 3am and I am most likely sleep deprived, but hey... I like it! I warn you, it's dark. but incase you haven't gathered, I am quite fond of dark!! :) It's about two things mainly. Obviously about not being able to sleep, and also about missing my dog Sheeba, who died last month. it's called
Never Fade
Sleep is lost on me tonight
The world’s constant whirling,
A nauseating thought.
I need stillness and silence
Time to stare right into darkness.
I’m numb, like old, uncertain hands.
I can’t believe you’re gone.
Every second passes, even further.
The shadows, my smallest solace.
I’m so far from Dawn.
I revive every precious memory
Grasping desperately before they fade.
Did you know it was time?
In time, light filters through the glass
-I’ve made it through the night.
Light is unwelcome here.
It creeps, unsure like a tentative breath,
Slowly down the walls.
Here again, white painted sky my familiar friend.
My mind turns traitor once again
The broken record plays over in my head-
I miss you.
I miss you every day.
