Surprises in the mail

Private company B is moving fast (as opposed to Public agency A; which I'm still waiting for word on)!

Today I got an email inviting me to an assessment centre this coming Monday. Hooray! I didn't wibble too much during the phone interview then. I should have asked what the assessment centre consisted of during the phonecall - but I did send an email back so hopefully I'll get a response.

Today I got something from Canberra in the mail. My stages of realisation were: A packet! From Canberra! Must be from Public agency A! Maybe I'm doing well so they're sending out welcome packs or something?

Then: No, wait. You only get a letter if they're rejecting you outright, or telling you you have a chance if someone else drops out.

Then: No, wait. It's only the start of September. It's from the Tax Office.

Anyway. In other news, today was excellent. I took Basil for a walk, then went out running. And I DID IT! I only checked the timer twice (the first time I was sure I must have run for 20 minutes, only to look and see 13 minutes had passed), and it's so much better that way. And there wasn't any dumb treadmill to worry about falling off!

25 minutes is mine!

Roll on the assessment centre.
