There's a whole world out there!

Amazing the effects that not working has on my photos. They're like, not of stuff around the house! Incredible!

I did a fair amount of walking today. First time was to the shopping centre to post J's presents (2nd anniversary's coming up), and then after a little bit of wandering around walked home again, and took some photos.

After that I went out walking with the Basil prince, and tried to take more photos. (Most were attempts of getting him in motion, but he really hates the camera now, and avoids it.) He also almost got himself run over. I yelled at him afterwards, but I don't think he really got it. (He was wandering around slowly behind me, and when I called him to come because I heard a car engine start, he got distracted by a driveway, and went to investigate the very one the car was backing out of.)

If my music had been louder, if I hadn't turned around when I had, if I hadn't guessed which driveway the car was coming out of...

As it is I sprinted and got there in time to drag him out by his leash. I doubt the car owner even noticed him.

The rest of the walk I kept him close to me, just in case. I don't know if it happened as part of his aging and becoming more blind and deaf, or whether he really is just a silly chicken dog, no matter what his age.

Bleh. Don't want to think about it. It's a little horrifying.

It's so hard to get macro right with this camera - I may be biased, but it felt a lot easier to get better photos with Pepito. I took about 5 or 6 photos of the shell, and only one came out with the right focus. (And even then, I still feel like it could be improved.)

This is a photo taken with Apollo hanging precariously off the gorillapod wrapped around a lamp post. (I say precarious because the arms of the gorillapod weren't actually long enough to wrap around completely, so it was a bit of a balancing act.)

This was taken on the 2 second delay. Then I tried a 5 second delay, only I ended up halfway over the bridge, turning around to come back when it took the photo. :P I ended up using a 3 second delay for the one below.

I remember taking a photo of these plants when I first tried project 365. I guess I like how they look like flames.

Also, I got an idea for a possible future photo. It will take organisation, possibly a torch, and warm clothes! (Also a tripod and a camera, obviously.) I am excited. :D
