Amira: "We need a healer!"
Rune: "You interrupted my READING to tell me that?"
Amira: "Yes!"
Rune: *Glares, then goes back to reading*
Amira: "What are you reading?"
Rune: "It's called a book. It has covers, and pages with writing on them..."
Amira: *Gives up on this and returns to the matter at hand*
Amira: "We were told you can heal! We need healing!"
Rune: *Looks up, looks over Amira briefly* "You don't look like you need healing. Would you like me change that?" *Reaches for the cane by the table*
Amira: *Quickly* "We need a healer for our party! You'll do it, right?"
Rune: *Sighs*

That's just some of today's D&D. I was being difficult about joining the party for adventuring. But obviously, I gave in in the end when I thought of the books I'd get to play with...

Amira's the sorceress, Rune's the archivist, Winter's the dread necromancer (though no one knows yet), Gerald's a binder, Ethest is a rogue (more battle than sneaky), and Dorik (I think that's his name) is a monk. This is not a party who are built for much melee action (sadly, Rune with her 14HP was one of the toughest party members of the group), especially at these early stages.

As a random encounter yesterday, Rune and Winter took on a camel (based on the 3.0 monster manual). We barely beat it. Considering how awesome Anya is, I weep.

Anyway. Lots of D&D, lots of uni. Very tired... Want to write properly soon. Hopefully tomorrow. Just wanted to let you know that I'm officially a bitch now. Though I think it may lead to bad habits if I get rewarded for it (bonus XP for snapping at my own party members!).

It'll be a good campaign, I think.

writing, d&d
