Well look at that - 3 months have passed
An update.
I am now a tri-ped (one crutch). About 2 weeks ago my orthopedic surgeon gave me permission to go to "as much as I could stand" for weight on the broken leg. So I've been a tri-ped since. I expect next visit in a month from now I'll have the too long bolt removed.
Still can't walk long distances - and by that I mean 1/4 - 1/2 mile is my absolute limit.
According to those who know the TBI has affected my short term memory. And I am a bit more hot tempered than before the hit.
Thank you to all who helped through the gofundme that was set up for me.
I am in the process of returning to work full time. This week will be 24 hours. Next week 32. And then back to full time.
And the 'insurance' has left me thousands short. Thankfully the lawyer has a method of telling medical creditors to 'wait, as we have a lawsuit pending which we expect to win."
