He should not be considering it at all. He wanders to atone for his sins, and the demons of his past chase him night and day. If he stays, they will catch up with him, and he might very well put this innocent girl in danger.
And yet... he is so very tired, and this girl - this young, untainted woman - is offering him a place to rest his weary soul despite knowing who he is - what he used to be.
Just a little while. I'll stay for just a little while.
A soft smile steals across his face as he makes his decision, and the door behind him slides shut under his hands with a world-changing click.
