Another reflection on another great series come to its end.

So, yeah, you know it's really bad, when it's been at least 3 months between entries, and that's just covering my life in general.  I should get back to posting, I swear!

But that's not what this entry is about.  Once again, another great Science-Fiction series has come to a close, and I have to reflect on it.  This time around, it's Battlestar Galactica.

The recently completed series is a remake of a 1978 classic done by Glen A. Larson ( who would also do "The A-Team" and "Knight Rider"), now done by Ron Moore, a famous writer among the "Star Trek" sagas.  This time around, it revolves around an apocalyptic escape from humanity's former creations, the Cylons.  For four seasons, we've watched the Galactica, as it propelled towards the home of the 13th Tribe, Earth.

Now, what I enjoyed about the series, is that it has one of those "gritty realism" feels, from the cinematography to the overall tone of the writing and themes presented in the series.  It was sad to hear that it was ending only after four seasons, but then again, it's better for writers to feel they have control to end it as opposed to the other way around.

Overall, I have to say that it's one of those memorable journeys you're not going to soon forget.

Now, about that life posting...
