So, one of my co-workers in the tutoring office is getting married. And, I want to say before I rant that it's a very good thing they're getting married. For them, I think it's been a long time coming.
But, they're chronicling the experience through a "wedding website". Um, yeah. About that...
I don't get it.
This isn't the first time I was introduced to one of these infernal contraptions (and yes, I'm using old-fashioned terms, on account that I'm just apparently older than I am). The last time I saw one of these things was with from an ex, who used it as a tool to rub it in my face. I shrugged and said "whatever", and went on my merry way. And, I don't remember the address. Don't care either.
And, in a moment of temporary insanity, I will say that this is one of those few times where technology shouldn't intrude. I understand that marriage is a sacred and blessed thing, but I think it gets too "commercial" when you have to publicly broadcast the happy occasion on the Internet.
That's just me, though. Thoughts?
