[The handwriting is neat and readable, with an occasional scratched out word. It appears somewhat script-like, almost like cursive but not quite.]I suppose that there are much stranger things in the world than bursting from some kind of egg and waking up inside (is this inside?) a giant tree ( Read more... )

hey, wolf. Nice to meet you. I'm Scales. I bet you'll find out that you're missing a lot of big and small details, or you know, everything.

The sphere's nice when it's not being ridiculous.

Ah, well, it is nice to meet you too, although this entire business of not remembering certain details has left me more than a little confused.

How has it been ridiculous?

Oh, sometimes the houses turn into tree houses, or we wake up wearing funny outfits, or given paintball guns.. and more.

yeah, it's annoying.

Welcome to Edensphere, Wolf. You're right, there doesn't seem to be a way out of here... that we know of, anyway.

Feel like you're forgetting something? Most of us do. Your dream is all you have upon being born here, so hold onto it.

My name's Spike, by the way.

Thank you, and it's nice to meet you, if this can be considered actually meeting.

I don't plan on forgetting the dream I had, although I can't help but think that it was vague beyond the point of usefulness. Are most dreams that way?

I definitely consider it meeting; talking over the journals is probably the best way to get to know people.

Yeah, a lot of us have vague dreams. Mine involved a lot of visions of what I assume were my loved ones... I couldn't see their faces, though.

As opposed to meeting in person? Is this world that spread out?

My dream involved meeting a wolf who claimed that he was me, hence the name Wolf, although I don't fully understand its meaning.

Hi, Wolf! I'm Brooklyn! ^_^

The Sphere's not a bad place to live in, not unless zombies or evil twins or aliens are invading...

I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that. Could you perhaps say that again?

Watch Brooklyn ramble because he's nervous now xD handy_psychic January 13 2009, 20:57:32 UTC
The Sphere's an awesome place! Really! It's just sometimes stuff happens like when there was an invasion of zombies and we all went to the Wilderness which had turned into Las Vegas til they were gone, well some of us did, some of us went to try and fight them off. I wasn't one of them.

Uhm there's also the time our evil twins appeared, some of our evil twins anyway, not all of us had one which is good because they tried to kill us and hurt us and manipulate us but they also disappeared in the end and most of the stuff that happens here is harmless like the time we played paintball with each other and got free money...

ah I know i'm not making much sense sorry!

Wolf's going to end up confused XD lone_w0lf January 13 2009, 21:03:25 UTC
I assume I'm right in thinking that the Sphere is never short on dull moments.

But, I must ask: what is 'Las Vegas' and 'paintball'?

Also, what prevented you from attacking these 'evil twins'?

Hello Mr. Wolf! I'm so glad to see you are taking everything is such good spirits! I'm afraid, a lot of people around here tend to be a bit dull. Well I don't really blame them, since there aren't nearly enough parties and celebrations to lift the up the masses. Plus we all live in such tiny and poorly designed housing...But yes, great to see you are showing a cheerful disposition!

I am Bubbles, a recent arrival like yourself. Tell me, are you by any chance, an actual Wolf?

I've never seen a point in allowing circumstances that much of a hold on you, although I must admit arriving here without a single memory except for what was seen in a dream is less than pleasant.

And, Miss Bubbles, I am not a wolf. The name comes from what I saw in my dream.

Yes, well we mustn't dwell on unpleasant things. I try to keep optimistic so as to be a model for others.

I see! Pardon my confusion. On the whole, there are not too many Animals here, but of course, over the journals is it impossible to know for sure.

The birth dreams are rather interesting. I saw beautiful bubbles all around me. Did you see a wolf in your dream?

Hey, another guy with an animal name! My name's Chicken, and yeah, I know you're not really a wolf. There's a couple people around here who'll get kinda confused by that. Just sayin' you're probably gonna end up havin' to clear that up a bit.

I suppose the confusion is natural, and so I understand completely.

I have one question about these journals, and I may as well ask you. How do you avoid confusing people's writing? It hasn't happened yet, but it seems that it's a possibility.

Well, I actually am kinda new here too, so I'm sure someone's gotta know better than I do, but from what I can tell, so far everyone's got a different way of writing.

But now that you mention it... Yeah, there's so many people here, I wouldn't be surprised if two people had similar handwriting!
