Ugh, right? All the anticipation, especially after the cuteness of Something Blue, but it ended up being ugly until the end. Even then, we had Spike not believing Buffy loved him. =( Spike was the only friend that got her, yet he got the most (& worst) hate spewed at him from everyone. I hated that. He was only trying to help her, but who cares, he's a vampire. Whatever. He had more heart/love/compassion in him than the Scoobies towards Buffy, yet he was the monster. Bah.
Exactly! At least have someone remind him of the people who died because he wanted everyone to sing & be happy, yet nothing. I also hated the way he treated Anya, especially when she reminded everyone of her former demon status. Can you imagine all the help they didn't get because they refused to ask her for it? Idiots.
His opinion on Spuffy irked the hell outta me, especially after SR. He tried to rape Buffy back in S3, but that's conveniently forgotten, too. But wait, he was possessed, yet he never apologized after remembering. Jackass.
Yeah, that's what's happened to me, too. I rewatched it after it ended, but lost touch because I missed it too much. Now? I just don't wanna go through all the crap w/Spike again, nor do I want to sit through all the other stuff, mainly Riley. Yuck. Fandom has been a dream! I've read stories that I swear had some scenes happen on the show, but it actually didn't. That's how good these writers get the characters & show.
