I have now seen the final "season" (six eps is not a season unto itself, but whatever) of Warehouse 13.

TALK TO ME, PEOPLE.

Spoilers in comments. Assuming anyone's still on LJ and is around to comment.

For the episode where Steve was split into fey Steve and hardass Steve, I want to know if they just used special effects, or if they got his identical twin brother in to help.

I do not recall seeing Shawn's name in the credits, so I think just good old-fashioned special effects.

For some reason, I forgot that this isn't a Canadian show (even if at least two of the actors are) and was genuinely confused for several moments in Secret Services as to why there was an American flag in someone's office. Oops?

I always think it is the coolest thing when sf&f shows/movies use identical twins in lieu of special effects.

The only examples I know of (off the top of my head) are Terminator 2 - and two different pairs of twins at that - and the episode of Buffy where Xander is two people and one of them is the actor's twin.

I think WH13 was filmed in Toronto, so I suppose it depends on your definition of "a Canadian show."

I thought maybe it was filmed here.

You would think it would be easier to use a twin than special effects, but I suppose it depends on availability and how much actors are paid. I was unaware that Xander's actor is a twin, but then again I didn't really watch that show so I suppose I wouldn't know.

Did WH13 know S5 was only going to be a few eps before they filmed S4's finale? They seemed to be setting up for a longer season.
