So, that fic idea from earlier this week was finally starting to coalesce, to the point where I was going to start writing tonight or tomorrow, but ~fifteen minutes ago I saw a commercial for the next new ep and that just nixed everything. So, buh-bye fic. And the companion fic that was probably going to go with it, because that idea was solidifying too. *sads*
"A lie," he tells her once, out of the blue, "is most convincing when surrounded by truth."
She eyes him over their game of Battleship. "So, me kicking your ass at board games," she says. "Truth or lie?"
He just smiles before scoring a hit on her destroyer.
Later, she'll remember this conversation and think that she should have paid closer attention.
Anyway.

Also under the category of 'dang it': upcoming provincial election. :/
The one party leader has a hate-on for the education sector, so if he wins I'm kinda screwed. The other political party that has a realistic chance of winning was screwed over by the previous party leader before he took the coward's way out and quit just months after being elected, and while the new woman has been doing a pretty good job (IMO, based quite a bit on the fact that she's kinder to teachers than the last guy was in the final months of his job), I think an awful lot of people are disenfranchised with their recent track record, which is really Not Good. (Er, both their recent track record and the fact that people aren't happy with them right now.) So I am genuinely concerned about what might come of this election.
...I wonder what other jobs I'm qualified to work.
