drive-by update
* yesterday it was so windy that I got knocked forward a couple of steps while waiting at a crosswalk
* today, the snow drifted at the front of my house so that it's up to my knees (I am not looking forward to shovelling that tomorrow)
* missed the pilot of Intelligence. Second ep is essentially summed up by "terrorists bad. AMERICA GOOD. F*CK YEAH!". almost at end of third ep, and it's just too full of ridiculousness. officially scratched off my viewing list, John Billingsley and Lance Reddick notwithstanding
* with the increasingly likely chance that SyFy is not going to renew Haven (they have never failed to renew it before the end of November at the latest, so it's really not looking good), Sleepy Hollow is now officially my favourite show. there is continuity. and planning by writers. and John Noble. and ALL THE PRETTY PEOPLE. I know there's stuff that doesn't gel, but I DON'T CARE. Unless they get flat-out stupid, I'm in it for the long haul (I was fully expecting to be unimpressed with Sleepy Hollow. way to prove me wrong, show!)
* Rogers has something called 'TV Lite' (IIRC?), which is the basic Canadian and American stations without timeshifting, for ~$15/month. it's not advertised anywhere; I just called and asked for as basic as I could get. I am very close to caving and returning to the evil cable company
* New Cat keeps drinking from the aquarium. that's probably not healthy
* caught the flu this week. or something? started off flu-like but then things got weird. still waiting for some symptoms to go away
* the website ThisIsWhyI'mBroke could also be called ThisIsWhyI'mNotDoneMyReports. though that probably refers to too specific a subset of people browsing their site
* I'm going to finish watching Castle and then it's bedtime
