Darn it, I had a Haven drabble written in my head and now I've lost it. (Er, the fic, not my head.) I remember the outline, just not the really good lines I had. How sad.
Assume spoilers through the most recently aired ep. Also assume that I don't want to be spoiled for anything further than the most recently aired ep.
So, based on various things, my current theory is that they'll wrap up the Red John storyline Christmas-ish. I can't say I'll be sad to see it go. I've never been fond of that particular plot, and they've been pushing it way too much this season (which is really half the reason why I'm thinking they'll finish it soon). Besides that, the whole idea that Red John has this whole inner circle and controls huge police and government corporations (not the right word but I'm blanking) just isn't working for me. It makes him less scary and more commonplace, somehow -- the idea of one man, working on his own and showing up at work every day like this ordinary guy but by night is a serial killer who's been active for over a decade? That's scary. Some dude with a whole circle of followers infiltrating politics? Less scary. YMMV. (Does anyone use that expression anymore?)
Also, it kind of drives me nuts that they keep talking about the case in the office and on their cells when 1) RJ has infiltrated the CBI before, and 2) one of the suspects is their boss. I'd totally be paranoid about the office being bugged and the phones being tapped.
(I've also been spoiled for part of a scene in tonight's ep, and OMG I WANT. Tonight, I miss cable so much.)
I don't know if I'm going to continue watching this show. It's a little more graphic than I like, and I don't care about any of the sub-plots (the husband's secret life, the other FBI dude who has adequacy and jealousy issues). My guess as of the pilot is that Red is really Liz's father and a couple of things here and there since have supported that theory so I'm also getting bored with the whole "Why will you only work with Liz?" subplot.
Now that Beckett's back at the NYPD, this show is back to usual (which beats the first three eps). Like it still, don't love it as much as I did during my height of fannishness for this show. Loved the Time Will Tell ep; that was awesome. Not too fond of Alexis right now, but I could always take her or leave her anyway so not a big deal, I suppose.
Sleepy Hollow -- where'd it go?! There hasn't been a new ep in, like, three weeks.
There's more shows that I watch, but I was writing this because I'm bored and now I'm bored of writing this. So. Yes.
(Come back, fic lines! I need you!)
