When I write Five Times fic, I pay attention to pov order. Maybe the characters alternate, maybe one character bookends the story while the other fills in the middle sections, once it was three scenes from one character followed by three scenes from the other, but there's always some sort of pattern to it.
Now, does anyone else pay attention to this sort of thing, or shall I file this away as another one of my reading/writing quirks? I ask because for the five-plus-one fic I'm working on now, I finally have an idea for the scene I'm missing, but it will make four scenes from the male character's pov and two from the female's, and it would be all his scenes followed by her two, and the fact that it's not a pattern doesn't sit right. And I could probably make this newest scene from her pov and then balance the whole story between the two characters, but the scene doesn't want it that way and arguing with the muse usually doesn't turn out for the best.
...Other fic writers have these dilemmas too, right? I mean, this is normal in the world of writing?
