And it goes a little something like this:
A fun under the slightly overcast sky day at Dan's lake house turns mildly disastrous.
Dan was pulling us tubing behind his skee doo, when Sam and I were tossed off in such a way that Sam's foot met my nose at an alarming velocity.
Sam and I are soon in the water and he laughs, unaware of my injury, as I am also. I wipe, what I think is water out of my eyes and yell "you kicked me in the face, jerk"
He asks if I'm alright just as I open my eyes and see my hands covered in blood and the water around me is red as well.
Me: Uh, I don't think so.
this must have looked really bad because Sam swims to me very fast and grabs me. I tell him to get off of me. I need some air.
He does. Then, everyone notices, and we plan what to do next. I try getting on the jet ski with Dan, but decide to get back on the tube, because the water feels good on my face.
We go back to the house. I ask for a pain killer. It has blood thinning effects, and speeds my bleeding. Blood loss, blood swallowing, and fatigue, lead to symptoms that point to concussion. I feel fine. It barely hurts.
Dan and Sam feel at fault, although they are obviously not.
Nate drives me to the hospital at home, and I resume bleeding, and feeling sleepy. He doesn't want me to sleep for fear of concussion.
I go home and my family decides I don't hve a concussion, but may need stitches.
I go to the ER, refuse stitches, get liquid stitches, which will reduce scarring.
*PARTY.
*Wake up with some swelling.
*Hang out with friends
*Wake up for work with much more swelling.
Now I'm at work. I'm the receptionist, and they move me from the front desk to the back because I am so ugly I will scare away the clients. I look like I got in a really bad fight. What's funny is it doesn't even hurt, at all. The swelling obstructs my vision, and my arms are sore from holding onto the tube. That is all of my pain. I'm laughing.
When you see me next, please tell me I look "swell", I love puns.
