Well that was interesting
Out of the blue, I wound up calling an old friend of mine that I have known since 2000. He and I raced go-peds and go-quads at the Nationals in Omaha, and the World Finals in Las Vegas. He was doing free lance video work way back in the day, which some of his work was featured in the movie about Joe Strummer, and he also has hours of footage from the first burning man events that were held in San Fran at the time, to thousands of hours of race footage.
He used to do his own helmet cams for the races by using packing tape and a triple ccd digitial video camera (this was a big deal when he was doing it about 6 years ago at world finals).
Nice guy, I just wish that I could be out in the west coast every now and then to hang out with him.
