PHEW.
This has been an intense week, school-wise. Finally a bit of space here.
Next week will be mostly fine-tuning our documentary, which is in its basic form already (we need to work on audio, coloring, and trimming mostly). It shouldn't be too bad. Then the last push for finals, a week and a half of SWEET SWEET EMPTINESS, and graduation.
...Um, AHHH!
This whole documentary thing has been a very weird experience. On the one hand, I'm totally glad I did it, because I met Cameron and he has managed to make my life that much better in only a few weeks...(my timing sucks, but hey, it's beautiful as it is, too).
But at the same time, I'm not sure that having to edit this stuff is good for my sanity (I spend enough time psychoanalyzing myself as it is). It's so fucking personal because Sally is my girlfriend and I was just talking to her like normal...except on-camera. I have to show it to Cameron before we turn it in and the idea of that scares me. Argh.
But, we've had a few guest filmmakers come in recently who've liked it. One even cried. I think we edited it so that I at least come off semi-intelligently, albeit hugely naive and awkward (which is inevitable, I suppose). I'm pretty nervous...it's putting myself out there utterly raw, naked and exposed, and it's scary.
But I guess folks can take it or leave it. Anyway.
Gonna go to sleep early tonight. Catch up for two near-all-nighters this week. Yikes.
