Things What I've Cooked

This list is mainly for my own reference. The only application I can think of for anyone else is that it gives RL people, if any still use Livejournal, an idea of what I could potentially cook for them if they wanted (though I'm definitely open to experimenting).

Chicken curry, usually with carrots, cauliflower and peas, over rice. I like using a mix of yellow curry and vindaloo-style curry. Williams-Sonoma makes pretty good curry blends.

Stirfry, usually chicken or steak (sometimes meatless), over wholewheat pasta or rice. Typically with zucchini, broccoli, peppers, mushrooms, sometimes snow peas and carrots. House Of Tsang Szechuan Spicy Stir Fry Sauce is great.

Chicken stew, with mushrooms, potatos, zucchini, carrots and peas. This is best if you slow-cook it. I also did a potpie which was pretty much this stew in a crust.

Pasta dish with slices of hot sausage, peppers, zucchini and tomato sauce mixed together, usually using wholewheat rotini.

Turkeyburgers, with a teriyaki-and-garlic marinade. Or regular beef burgers, whatever. I've also done salmon burgers with a Cajun-y seasoning.

Roast chicken with rice (or baked potatos) and gravy. Added cayenne pepper to my grandma's recipe. When I did this for 9 people, I did 2 chickens, plus 12 chicken legs, done in an assortment of rubs and seasoning.

Pseudo-lo mien - IE spaghetti done with teriyaki/soy sauce and vegetables.

Tomato-based sauce for pasta, with meatballs or sausage. Good over steamed zucchini.

Tacos (beef and turkey-based), but that barely counts as cooking.

Ditto re: the tomato salad that my dad is none the less nuts for (tomato slices + Provolone cheese + red onions + red wine vinegrette, basil and pepper).

Fried rice, with peas, carrots, green beans, shallots, corn and pieces of pork.
