You know, a hundred-odd years ago, one could be prescribed marijuana for menstrual cramps. Unlike its contemporary "cocaine'll cure what ails ya!" remedies, this is actually legitimate, and I think we should go back to it. It's a mootish point, since New York is not a medical-marijuana state anyway, but it ought to be.

Or we could just legalize it altogether ... I'd love to be able to obtain weed in as uncomplicated a way as I'd buy a bottle of vodka. Frankly, I'd trade the legality of alcohol for the legality of marijuana - pot > booze.
