goddamn it, that stupid "oh noes, LJ is infringing our right to write underage porn rant rant fucking rant" shit is starting up again. the thing I find most interesting is that all the posts I've seen come at it from a "LJ is so stuuuupid, don't they know it is teh fiction, *pats fandom on the collective back cause we're just so smart and sophisticated*", which is all well and good, but it really doesn't have much to do with anything. it's SixApart's own property, and if they don't feel like dealing with all the hassle that they get from hosting chan/underage/whatever, it's like, maybe a 100th of their profits out of their pockets if those people go. it's totally irrelevant if you can defend your Lucius/3 year old Draco fic as most legitimate art on the entire intarweb - it's not worth LJ's time or money to protect it
