Mario thing on YouTube

Steve at work showed me this on our lunchbreak. I think the thing that makes it so funny to me is that the guy sounds like Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. damn, I want our SNES to work. "this is worse than Ann Coulter!"

reread "The Phantom Tollbooth" (kids' books, like kids' movies, make good stoned entertainment*). the wordplay in it is very fun - I can see why it gets compared to "Alice in Wonderland". the whole section about words makes me think of Stephen Fry now - and I always hated the idea of a country of numbers. was there a cartoon of this? I vaguely remember hearing that there was, but I never saw it

my Women's History teacher gave me the syllabus and viewing/reading list for a class she taught on British history in film (I'd been talking to her after class and somehow 'Lion in Winter' came up - maybe I was reading about Eleanor of Aquitane? - and my general nerdlust for history and movies). squee. I have to go to the library/Borders sometime to get some of these books

Comics Curmudgeon. have I recced this blog before? if not - read it, it's awesome. Qomics for Queers and Marmaduke Explained are good in the same vein of sassing daily strips. quick poll, while the topic of finding whether I already mentioned something came up ...

*if it seems like I smoke a lot of pot ... well, I do. but I've decided that the point of "too much" is when it affects my school/work/whatever, and since work is ... work, and I'm getting straight As for the first time since I was like twelve, I'm content with my cannabitual consumption

poll, school, books, cannabis, links
