- Ghostbusters 3? interesting if true. Bill Murray being in it is encouraging, although the CGIness isn't. hopefully the character designs have as little to do with the cartoon series as humanly possible

- I just read "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood, and wow. so so good. I'd just reread "V For Vendetta" maybe a few weeks earlier, so I kept comparing and connecting the two in my head. the thing that makes them both work so well is the realistic detail and logical progression from the world we know to these fucked up dystopias. you can see how they COULD happen, and that's what makes them both so scary and powerful. it doesn't hurt that both of them are fantastically written, either

- my women's history class is full of idiots ... somehow that class drew every drooling halfwit that needs 3 credits in history, so everyday we spend half the class endlessly dissecting some asinine fact that they latched onto and can't grasp. seriously - "women didn't shave their legs in colonial America"? not a hard concept. and the idea that therefore shaved legs WEREN'T part of the standard of beauty then just would not take. this has happened in a couple history classes I've been in, when the notion of unshaved women completely distroys the class' ability to concieve of people ever being attracted to each other. *headdesk*. this is not at all what I had pictured this class being like. I do like the teacher, and the material is interesting (I've started my paper, but mostly out of boredom), the other people are just fucking idiots

in my psych class, the teacher's decided I'm "the smart one" (because I'm always reading, and I was the only one who'd read "Interpretation of Dreams" before this class), which works out well for me ... she was also all "you, you're not ADD at all" about me, so I don't know what that says (besides that the concerta's working)

western civ is pretty good ... more group work than I've done in awhile, but fortunately I like the people in the class (yay, jabber_moose). I have to think of something in pre-Reformation western civ studies to do a research paper on soon

- I hate the middle of the day. 3 in the morning, I was all "I'm-a get that paper done, and who's gonna be king of A+ Town then, motherfuckers?" and "y'know, it's high time I started painting again, where'd I put those oils?", and now it's like "fold my laundry? fuck that, I'm going back to sleep". I just have no desire to do anything more strenous than blinking before sundown

- the bath has been fascinating the cats for weeks ... the bathroom doorknob is broken, and they can just push their way in. once inside, they stare at me in the water with their little "you people are the strangest cats!" expression. Watson has taken a new step, beyond their standard "peeping into the tub like meercats and cautiously drinking the water" - vis. sitting on my stomach. I'm not a island for little cats! you are not a loofah! git!

- eh. I guess I should be cleaning my room now ... it never lasts
