- got many a book and DVD for Christmas ... at the moment, I'm watching Glenn's gift, "Jay and Silent Bob Do Degrassi". I forgot how ceaselessly awful this show is, how eminently punchable every single character is, and how many many hours I can spend watching it. Kevin Smith's awfully adorable. and Great White North informs like ... 90% of the Canadian jokes they make in the fake movie. good times
(I missed a whole season leading up to this, and I'm totally confused. EmoFrodo's a homeless musician now*? PEYppers is in England? why are Paige and Manny maiming each other? isn't Liberty pregnant? JT still lives? zuh?
*this is almost as hilarious as when his birth father threw photo chemicals at him. the peer-pressuring tyranical homeless guy = best character ever
- also watched the beginning of the Adam West Batman movie, which is about as terrible as Degrassi
- you know what else is good in a way where, it doesn't register as anything close to "good" on any human scale but it's hilarious anyway? Fergie. I'm firmly convinced she's the pop hip-hoppy version of Spinal Tap. her stuff is exactly the same kind of just-this-side-of-too-stupid-to-be-true badness. which reminds me ... I was pondering Fergie's aging transsexual looks, nauseating approach to "sexy" and her improbable high self-esteem, and decided I need to do a Strangers With Candy vid to one of her songs, because she was clearly seperated at birth from Jerri. the question is - which? whichever, I'd have to trim it down, because those motherfuckers go on far longer than you'd think you could stretch the concepts of lady lumps or Fergiliciousness.
