An interesting botanical note of interest ... some plants increase in potency the longer they dry after they've been picked. you can see this is peppers, for one - we had a clump of chili peppers hanging in the kitchen for years, and by the time we finally ate them they attained the potency of napalm.
another plant it works on is cannabis. so not only was this given to us full of seeds, it also is now incredibly more potent that when it was bought last month. whee.
I've been watching alot of SCTV with Glenn, and oh the lollerskates. there is not a person in that cast who isn't hilarious. the "Monster Chiller Horror Theater"/Count Floyd sketches are by far my favorites, partially because I love horror, partially from fond memories of Count Floyd on the Ed Grimley show when I was a kid, also they are teh lolz ...

I just finished watching a set of the best adaptations of Sherlock Holmes EVER - the Grenada Jeremy Brett series. it's faithful to the books, and it has one of the best Holmeses ever and THE best Watson ever. I think if there was a particular version of Sherlock Holmes that they drew on for House-Wilson, it's probably this one. Watson has better than usual amounts of "Holmes, you psycho crankybitch" mixed in with the admiration. damn, I hope that FryandLaurie version of Holmes gets made.
Stephen Fry's documentary on manic depression is so far very interesting. I can't wait til someone uploads the next episode.
