AHHHHH I'M GETTING MARRIED! We won and we're getting hitched on May 23!! Because of the short timeline, we had to do emailed invitations for 99% of the people we invited, and I think I got everyone who could feasibly come/invited me to their own wedding, but if you didn't get one emailed to you this afternoon and you either want one or want to come, let me know! I'm so excited to see the people who are flying in from different parts of the country, and I don't think it's sunk in yet that it's for real happening!

So you guys I'm about to post EEEEEVERYTHING we have planned for the wedding so far because this is my internet diary and I can. :D

Marshall got this $1,395 Ralph Lauren suit today for all of $100 thanks to the kind folks at K & G. He also got a $7 ivory tie with tiny little yellow, green, and orange poppy-like flowers and will be getting a pale green shirt to wear with it. If we can find one, we'd also like to get a coordinating vest to wear (sans jacket) for the reception, but that's not imperative even though I think he'd look mad sexy in it.

I'm getting this made in ivory with red bows on the back and will have a red petticoat underneath and red shoes. The dress I was supposed to be getting for free fell through because the people at Unbridaled are a bunch of prissy motherfuckers. It's all for the best though because I love this so much more than I liked any of the dresses they had to offer.

My bouquet is going to be a combination of these two, but with anemones (poppy imitations because poppies are too delicate) and ranunculus instead of all the tiny daisies and roses.

The boutonnieres will be similar to this but without the lavender, replacing the berries for poppy pods, and adding a tiny red ranunculus to his.

I'm crazy about this cake, and I'm going to make my own bird nest + love birds to put on the top as our cake toppers.

I bought a case of 500 honey sticks this afternoon, and our reception centerpieces will be mason jars with a stick or two of pussywillows and a handful of honey sticks + a board game so people can have a good time if they don't feel like dancing.

The DJ has been informed that we don't want any music made after 1970, so no disco, no Celebration, no YMCA, no Chicken Dance, or any of those other cliche wedding songs. We're going to stick with mostly doo wop, soul, Motown, and funk, which is going to be THE BEST.

Everyone else is going to be walking down the aisle while this song plays. It was really important to me that a Yann Tiersen song was involved in the actually ceremony, and this one is perfect in the mood and imagery it evokes.

I'm going to be walking down the aisle to this song from Mary & Max/This American Life. I wanted to switch these songs, but Marshall prefers this one for me so that's that!

This is our officiant and I loooove her writing.

Okay that's all I can remember for now but I'm sure there's more. Stefanie took some engagement pictures for us yesterday and did a really amazing job, especially considering it was 2:00 in the afternoon without a cloud in the sky and we didn't feel like sitting in traffic anymore so we just popped into the mini golf course.

Someone from weddingplans offered to take some more free ones for us so she can build her photography portfolio, and Stefanie's taking some more next weekend before Rachel & David's wedding.

I still can't believe this is really happening!
