bad bank

I just got back from the bank. I had to deposit a stack of checks into my checking account. This should have been a fairly simple thing.

It was not. It turned into one of the most de-personalizing experiences I have had at the bank.

First, the teller doesn't smile or great me as I walk over.
Then, I get told that I'm doing it wrong because I didn't take the time to fill out a deposit slip for the stack of checks.
When I respond; "This usually isn't a problem" she says that their policy is that customers have to fill out everything BEFORE coming to the teller because they're not allowed to fill out the deposit slips for us. This goes against nearly all experience I've had with the bank.
Then, while she's counting up the checks I watch her miss one of them. She had to recount them twice.

During the ten minutes this whole thing took, start to finish, she never smiled. She even had the gall to tell me that I had been SPOILED by my regular teller.

I don't know how to register a formal complaint against her, but I would love to. She made what normally is a pleasant experience into a hassle. I have never had that kind of attitude from anyone at my bank before.

BTW, the bank is HSBC downtown and the teller's name is Laura.
