No one could ever look at me like you do...

Last night was Death Cab for Cutie!  I may have mentioned once or twice that I won tickets... thank you, iTunes Festival.  And such a good night, sore feet aside.  I went with Jarrod and the concert was at Koko in Camden - what an awesome venue.  It's an old, converted theatre and the decor inside is all red and low-lit and chandelier-filled.  Also quite intimate-feeling, considering the number of people there.  And yet not hot and sweaty and jammed as concerts are wont to be... aside from one period when I was a Nadia sandwich between two random guys (not as fun as it sounds, believe me) I had personal space the entire night.  Awesome!

The show itself was great, I don't know the new album well and was freaking out a little bit that they wouldn't play much old stuff, but they did.  The best were the last two songs, Tiny Vessels and (of course) Transatlanticism.  Just... wow.  And Ben Gibbard was extra cute, although not wearing his old-school emo glasses, which was disappointing.  Overall... I wanna go again!  More free concerts, please!

Ben doing the first encore, I Will
Follow You Into the Dark.

Smurftacular me and Jarrod in the
crowd.  Phone pics.  My apologies.
