You are what you love, and not what loves you back...

I have fallen perilously behind in my blogging.  And you know what this means... cursory entries that just don't satisfy!  Yay!

So.  Um. Laaaast week, or perhaps the week before, Harriet and I went to The Sound of Music with a bunch of her colleagues.  Can't remember if I've mentioned this or not.  It was fun, but a distinctly lacklustre performance, I felt.  Kinda like they've been doing it every night for two years straight... oh, yeah.  I lost my hat, but then I found it again.

Last Friday Harriet, Jarrod, Logan, Veronica and I all went for drinks at Camino down the road from my work.  Fun night.  Wine was drunk.  I got given a Halloween lollipop by a random guy I met at the bar.  I'd forgotten about this until Harriet found it in the lounge yesterday and asked if she could eat it.  Not much else to say.

Last Sunday went around to Jarrod and Logan's neck of the woods to watch fireworks in Victoria Park.  Random, random night.  Random, random fireworks, with hilarious random music.  It was all over the show.  Most entertaining.  Much mud on the ground.

Fireworks

Boys and me watching fireworks.  Why am I so pale?

Sometime during the week went and had drinks at The George with the Copestake's extended family.  Was on the bus longer than anticipated on the way there and very nearly wet my pants.  Later went and had dinner on the South Bank.

At another stage during the week I had dinner with Desiree at Wahaca, which is a fancy schmancy Mexican place in Covent Garden.  Ate a ridiculous amount of tapas-styled Mexican food.  Had cactus.  Interesting.

Last Monday I got to not go to work and instead go and do an Excel course at a place called Happy Computer.  Happy Computer lives up to its name - I still don't like Excel, but I ate lots of nice food and had a free icecream for afternoon tea.  Can't complain.

On Friday night went to Embankment and had a frappucino at Starbucks with Harriet before rendesvousing with her friend Anthony, and also Veronica.  Went to see some stand-up comedy (ironically at Heaven, which turns into G-A-Y later in the night) which I wasn't really in the mood for, but was entertaining all the same.

The rest of the weekend was spent on the couch watching TV and playing The Sims as the Northern Line as suspended between our house and town, and who can be bothered with replacement busses?  This weekend I'm going to Bath/Bristol with Desiree, her boyfriend and two of her other friends (who also don't know each other).  Yay for the road trip, cars are so novel.
