Show Review time:

30 May 2003--Call The Office--London, ON
Lindy
Pete Elkas
The Superfriendz

Lindy: Got there near the end of their set. It sucked.

Pete Elkas: This dude used to play in The Local Rabbits. He got Chris Murphy from Sloan to play drums and some random dude who just moved from Manitoba and hangs out with The Rheostatics to play bass. His set consisted of old LR songs and some stuff from an EP he put out. Didn't really do much for me. Oh, he grew his hair out and looks like the dude from Crash Test Dummies.

The Superfriendz: Matt Murphy is now a rock star. But the guitar player was cool. It was rad to see this band reunited after 6 years. However, they only played "Up and Running" from "Slide Show", the rest of the material was either new or from "Mock Up, Scale Down". However, it was still absolutely rad.

All in all a really good night. I asked Chris Murphy if he ever gets tired of being mobbed by obese 14 year old girls or if he objects to the term "Sloan Haircut". The answer to both questions is no.

In other news, Brandtson got all their stuff ripped off and so they might have some difficulty with their latest tour.

Everyone go listen to the new music from SLOW COMING DAY. It's really really good.
