Days 4 and 5

I was going to make a post last night this morning when I got home, but I was entirely too tired and/or drunk to do so.  I went out with my two cousins, Ryland (it's official, that's how he spells it) and Craig (from Norwich).  We went to a pub down the road called The Archers where Ryland apparently knows everyone and then stopped to buy some beer before going to his friend's house.  Where we proceeded to drink for the next 4 hours.  We came back and had a cup of tea and some nice political discussion before dragging ourselves to bed.

I don't know how, but I was able to get up and get to St. Joseph's for 11 o'clock mass.  Maybe this is just my natural paranoia, but it felt like the priest (who is very adorable with his black thick framed glasses and, of course, the accent - I'm actually tempted to take my MD to mass with me and record him so you all can hear him) was watching me the whole time.  I wouldn't be surprised if he was.  BIshop's Stortford is a very small town, so when a new person shows up out of the blue it's not something that happens every day.  I also haven't gotten around to introducing myself, so I'm pretty sure he's wondering who this weird girl is with the eyebrow ring who's managed to make it to 2 services in one week.

Did fuck all else today.  Craig and I spent most of the day watching Shark Week on the Discovery Channel, so I get that twice this year as they've already done it in the States.

The weather's absolutely fantastic.  It's kind of cold actually, I feel like I need a jacket.  Which I am, of course, very excited about.

I'm in David Strathairn withdrawal.  I was just in the midst of a full on Strathairn film fest right before I left and now I don't have any movies or anyway to rent them.  And with
aureliapriscus posting about all the flicks she's been watching with him, I'm getting mightily jealous.

st. joseph's, inebriation, cousins, david strathairn, boring stuff, church, priests
