Lonely Autumn.

Halloween is coming and the nights are drawing in,
and I went to bed last night and tucked my dreaming in,
when I woke (too early,) My dreams had fled away.
I don't know if I met a wolf, they don't come out by day.

(But if I should go out today, I'll wear my nice red cape,
it hasn't got a hood, though, so the wolves may just

I also sent you something; did it arrive all right?

It did, they did - but they almost didn't. Amazon delivered them to a neighbour and I didn't know until he knocked on the door just as I was heading for bed! (I slept and woke up again at about 2,30a.m.)

Thank you. You are a wonderful friend, (much better than I deserve.)

I've learned something about sugar-free sweets. Greedy people who think it's ok to pig out on them learn a lesson ... anyway, I'm back now.

"All things in moderation?" That's a lesson I still haven't got the hang of.

LOL, I never was much good at being moderate, but this time I've learned my lesson and I would be restricting my access to those sweets very carefully - if there were any of them left.

Been busy with holiday shopping and autumn/winter weather duties (*if I never have to bag another pile of leaves again I'll be happy with that)

Hugs!

I hope you had fun with the shopping, (as for the leaves, did you have a bonfire? Guy Fawkes day can be useful, for that.

Does your area have little animals that hibernate in the leaves and need to be searched before you get rid of the pile? In UK gardens it's mostly hedgehogs, but there are none in this area. Here, whewn the leaves are disturbed the mice move indoors.)

I was thinking of you and the leaves when I managed to mess up, a bit; I had to get relevant papers out for a financial assessment, and for a requested history for my GP. There was a lot of outdated stuff so I started shredding and de-cluttering... mouse appeared ... I turned in my chair and managed to upset a pile of file-boxes and the papers awaiting shredding...

I've now managed to dig my way back to the computer.

Are you looking forward to Thanksgiving this year? (I'm mostly thankful for friends like you) That reminds me, what would you like for Christmas?

LOL
We bagged 30+(15-gallon)bags of leaves.I don't think that a bonfire is what we'd get trying to burn all that!

Thanksgiving was okay. Christmas, hmm...
Tell me stories?
I know that sounds funny, but...have developed back problems and chronic pain that gets worse in cold seasons.Happy distractions *very * much appreciated.

I'm here; I know back problems and chronic pain (and cold that bites) too well - and I will tell you stories for as long as I can dream them up and write them, and for as long as you will listen or read - but I hope that I can also read some of yours?

P.S. There is a ... thing ... up at the journal, a story from a strange place that has magically mulled hot chocolate and an unusual form of heating.
