Last day in Lausanne.
Here's what I did in Lausanne exactly a year and a day ago. It was the day after Art On Ice and I had a bit of a figure skating hangover (it's a real thing) but luckily there was much to see and do that day. We walked from our hotel to Ouchy, visited the Olympic museum and walked about Lausanne some more.

It was a grey and cloudy morning.
But this sight gave us hope that we may yet have some sun to look forward to that day.... and we were right!

Here's the Olympic museum.
I didn't take any photos inside of the museum but I've got to say this: it was one of the biggest surprises of the trip. Overall, I am not a big sports fan (with the exception of figure skating) so I didn't quite know what to expect. The Olympic museum is terrific, though. It is very well arranged, there are so many interesting things to read and watch and there are some really fun interactive stuff that you can actually try to do! If you're ever in Lausanne, it's definitely a must-see.
Oh and when you're done with the museum, don't forget to pop up to the Olympic cafe for a cup of tea or coffee and something light to eat, just like we did.
The view from there is incredible. Lac Léman looks just like the sea.
We weren't very hungry but we couldn't resist.
The food was excellent.
And this was actually a huge clock up on the wall in the entrance hall. Loved it!
The weather changed completely while we were inside the museum so we took another walk by Lac Léman and took some pictures.
I was so amazed by how clear the water was.
I can easily imagine going there on a stroll every weekend. Ouchy is incredible.
If you look closely, you can see the Alps back there in the haze.
I still don't understand why I didn't take picture with those chess pieces.
From Ouchy we walked back to our hotel but we took several detours.
I loved those tulips. Purple ones are probably my favourite. I looked everywhere for such colour back home but couldn't find any.

This was our hotel. I can't recommend it enough. It was adjacent to the railway station but there was no noise at all. It was very clean, comfortable and cosy, I absolutely loved the design.

You could actually buy the blanket... which I did. :)
Early in the morning the next day, we left Lausanne.
I have to say it was very easy to fall in love with Switzerland. I can't wait to go back and do some more exploring.
