In the lane, snow is glistening.

I've been trying to put together a proper post with some January/2016 goals for about 5 days now and it's just not working at all. So I've decided to put it aside for a bit and post something else, hopefully that will help.

We're finally having some winter weather! Temperatures below zero all day and night for the past week and we've even got some snow! Now that's much more like the winters I remember from my youth and I can't get enough! I was lucky enough to be able to take Eda for a long walk on Tuesday morning. It had been snowing for two days by then and everything was just stunning. We were all alone on the park, we only met a woman with her child on a sled on our way back home, but other than that it was just us in the winter wonderland. Mind you, I enjoyed the walk much more than she did. She gets very lazy and sleepy in the winter so getting her out has been pretty difficult lately.

We were completely alone there.

Winter wonderland indeed!

Even the pond started freezing over!

I remember skating on this pond once, some 15 years ago.

I'm sorry to say but she really wasn't excited about the walk.

As evidenced by this selfie. :D

This is her "Can we go home now?" face.

Love this house and their decorations! They've put the bows all along their fence, along with some fairy lights.

I love when this happens!

I'm so in love with this view.

And a couple of night shots:

Wednesday evening by the river.

The Christmas lights were still up!

The Christmas tree in the square was really beautiful this year. They took it down yesterday. :(

The view from my bedroom is just magical this time of year.
