The Plan

So I'm not changing my major... well not really.

Right now I am a Music Performance major, and if I were to stay in it (all 5 years) it would kick my ass. This made me want to change my major to English and minor in Education, and just go become an English teacher. It was really disheartening, actually, losing this one part of me. But oh well, right? I would love English, and I can't have have my cake and eat it too.... or can I?

After talking to my voice teacher, I concluded to change my major to just Music, not Music Performance. The requirements are much less (I only get 2 years of lessons instead of 4 and many of the other performance classes are omitted) so I am able to at least double minor in English and Education.

With my Music major and double minor, I am able to then graduate in four years, get my teaching credential in English the next year, and then teach English as I am getting my Masters (or doctorate?) in Music Education.

Will it work? Sounds good to me.

But what do I know... I'll float where the wind blows me.
