Dean sat on the bed flicking through the channels on the TV finding nothing vaguely interesting to watch as Sam sat on the opposite side of the room, scanning through his laptop. The local motel they were at in Boston was just another stop on their long journey.

“Think I can find a decent porn channel?”, Dean asked sitting up and facing Sam.

Sam rolled his eyes, “Dean I’m trying to get us a case here, I really don’t want you watching porn 3 feet away from me”

Dean laughed and stood up, “God Sammy lighten up, we haven’t had a case in a week in this town, there’s nothing here, lets get packing and get the hell out of here, at least to somewhere that has decent porn” he smirked.

“Dean I told you I just have a feeling about this place”, Sam said looking at the people walking outside, “something’s here I know it”

“Well shit Sherlock could you find it quicker please?” Dean said walking into the bathroom and closing the door behind him.

“Hey have a look at this” , Sam said passing a newspaper to Dean in the café the next morning.

Dean took the paper off him, his eyes wandered over the black and white page in front of him, reading the headline and the content. His eyes shifted back up to Sam’s. “3 teenagers go missing mysteriously in neighbouring town of Plymouth?” he questioned Sam, “so? Kids are going missing all the time. How is this anything supernatural?”

Sam looked around the café then moved in closer to his brother, “We opened the door to hell,” he pointed out directly, “I say anything mysterious could be for us to deal with, even if this has nothing to do with us, we should at least check it out”

Dean leaned back in his seat and sighed, “Fine but if this has nothing to do with us,” he said picking up the paper and turning it around to face Sam, “We’re getting straight in my baby and going to the newest and most scrumptious doughnut store in Delaware”

*********

“Ok so what have you got on this place?” Dean asked as he walked into the motel room again carrying food for himself.

“Ok local legend has it there’s a house on Water St, abandoned, nobody has lived in it for years, its set off from all the other houses on the street, early 1800’s a little girl named Abigail was murdered there, doesn’t say who by, just one day when the father returned home from his job as a fisherman both her and her mother were dead, were said to had both been murdered”, Sam said looking up from his laptop.

“Ok so we check out the house then, do the usual inspection”, Dean shrugged picking up his coat and putting it on, “shame I wont get to tuck into the nachos”

“Actually its better to go at night, the local’s around here seem to be a nosey bunch, might spot us, call the cops”, Sam said disagreeing with Dean.

“If their nosey why hasn’t anybody spotted these kids going missing? I mean 3 kids have gone missing in like a month, surely one of these prying little neighbours saw something” , Dean stated and took his coat off and sitting down on the bed facing Sam.

“Actually its more then that, its just nobody has lived here long enough to notice a pattern”, Sam stated, “since Abigail and her mother died in that house, a total of 33 missing people and 10 of those actually found,” he looked at his laptop and calculated it up, “where dead”.

“Right so the 3 that have gone missing in the last month were teenagers, what are the ages of the other people?”, Dean asked taking a bite of one of the nacho’s he had.

“All different, there doesn’t seem to be anybody of the same age, these ghosts are going after anybody that passes there house by the looks of it”, Sam said with a confused look on his face.

“Murdered in your own home, then kill anybody that walks past?”, Dean asked with a laugh, “seems a bit stupid to me, and slightly paranoid”, he takes another bite of a nacho, “does it say what happened to the Dad?”

“Just that he lived until he was in his 70’s and died of heart failure”, Sam shrugged, “nothing much on him, accept he moved to the town were in now”

Dean nodded then looked at his nachos with a huge grin, “God these nacho’s are awesome”

***********

Dean and Sam sat outside the house in Plymouth. It was getting darker and lights were going off in peoples houses.

Sam closed his laptop, “Well looks like we may have a lead”

Dean turned to look at him, “Yeah? What’s that?”

“Ok it may be a legend but what we have learnt from legends in our job is that they are almost all true,” Sam looked at the house, “if you stand outside the house and say…wait I cant, were outside the house” he pointed out worriedly.

“Oh come on Sammy don’t be a baby, what do you say?” Dean asked, “I mean were gonna have to face this thing to get rid of it, why not now?”

“Because were not ready”, Sam stated.

“Not ready?!”, Dean laughed, “Sam when have we ever been ready?”

“I just..”, Sam stopped and his eyes focused on something outside.

“Hello? Sammy?” Dean asked waving his hands in front of his face. Then followed his gaze outside, his eyes widened as he saw a familiar face walking outside the house and stopping on the pavement, “Jo” he whispered.

Both Sam and Dean jumped out the car, unknown from Jo who was still standing outside, seemingly mumbling something. They both looked at each other and got closer. Dean noticed she had a gun in her hand and started to move closer. Sam put his hand on Dean’s chest to stop him.

“Abigail, come out to play” Jo whispered, “Abigail, come out to play” she repeated again.

Sam’s eyes grew wide, “That’s what you say, Dean that’s what you say to get the girl to appear”, Sam whispered to Dean.

Dean swiftly moved, “Jo no!”

Jo turned round as saw Dean come running towards her, “Dea…” she couldn’t finish his name as Dean had clasped his hand around her mouth and grabbed her, pulling her away. She struggled underneath his grip.

Sam looked up and spotted the little girl at the window, pale and in a white night dress, staring at him blankly. Quickly, Sam ran with Dean and got into his car where Dean had already thrown Jo into the back and got in, locking the doors and moving off hastily.
