The Fairy Tales That Bind Us (and Than Set Us Free) - (Rachel Berry) a Glee/Disney Mix
So this idea just came into my head a couple days ago and would not go away, probably due to the fact that I've been on a Disney high for the last few weeks. Yes, this is somewhat self-indulgent, but I don't care; it was really fun to make and I think the whole idea for it was creatively good. Taken from Quinn's line about Rachel living in a fairy tale, I tried my best to portray how deeply she puts herself in that role of the beautiful yet misguided princess. Some of the song's parallels are clearer than others, but I tried to make all the connections somewhat obvious. Also, because I was really trying to keep this on the fairy tale theme, I strayed away from songs that weren't from fairy tale movies. I promise, it's not that I don't love the other movies, (Mulan is one of my favorites), but I really wanted to keep on theme.
Everybody thinks Rachel is crazy, but she just rolls her eyes.

In the back of her mind, Rachel sees Sue as the evil witch trying the steal her voice.

It's sad but true
Rachel is always waiting for the day when she'll leave Lima and really start her life.

Rachel just wants to be a part of that world.

Part of that world
Rachel wishes her mother loved her enough to ask her to stay, but in the end, Shelby's more of an evil pretender than anything else.

Rachel sees Puck as only wanting to kiss the girl.

Both Finn and Rachel have finally realized what they really want.
