He's only molting. Or perhaps laying an egg. Jobberknolls are tricky that way.

But I just wanted to warn you I'm likely to be late at work tonight again.

Well, Mmme Fishbein said she'd be coming back in to work on Monday so I wanted to finish this project up before she got here, you see.

Things will be back to normal as soon as she's back, though, I'm sure.

What project? Not the Porlocks again?

Oh, no, didn't I tell you? I'm making a nightlight for Harry. Only it can't be for Harry because he might not like that. So I'm making one for Lily, and then one for Tonks' twins, and then one for Remus and Sirius' little girl, and then I'll have one extra for Harry you see.

I thought hinkypunks and fairies and some fireflies would be nice, but it turns out to be quite tricky finding food that the hinkypunks like better than eating fireflies that won't disgust the fairies, so it's been some time. That's why I'm so late.

But best to get this finished before Mme. Fishbein sees it, that's what I thought.

You're not angry then?

Why on earth would I be angry at you for doing something that sweet. Especially for Harry. He seems to need it quite a bit right now.

How's Ron? Has he talked to you?

I just thought -- you know, we haven't seen each other nearly enough since I've been so busy here. And here it is Saturday night and all.

I've not seen Ron since Thursday morning at the Burrow. I left him a note after that business with the Prophet but he hasn't replied yet. He's likely all right though, or as right as he could be after all that's happened.

What kind of scones are you making?

It is Saturday night, yes. And I'm all alone in my kitchen. Pity, that.

Just keep an eye on him, love. You know how your brother is.

And I'm making sultana scones. The ones you like.

Ah, but perhaps a red-headed stranger will come and sweep you away from your kitchen in another ten--twenty minutes--half an hour forty-five minutes or so. As soon as I finish up here. If you'd like.

Would the scones be done by then?

Well, you know I'm quite partial to red hair. It's my weakness. And I do so love being swept away. Particularly if said sweeping ends up in my bed.

The scones will definitely be done by then.

Bed? That could be arranged. Only a shower first, because there were some experiments with hinkypunk feeding that didn't go so well. And then scones after?
