The English patient
Adrian (london1952) is back from King's College Hospital where he had cataract surgery this morning.
When I rang up the hospital to have news (I wasn't allowed to wait there due to lack of space), I was asked if I was his next of kin. It was great to be able to answer 'yes, I am'.
Peter, a neighbour and friend, very kindly drove us home in his car.
