We just got back from a small and very enjoyable Christmas party at Debz & Graham's - another two neighbours.
The last week or so has been very busy.
It all started on Thursday last week when I met
bobalonefor a drink in town (sorry, no photos).
Then on the Friday David and Richard (
bazanges) arrived
and we went for a fish&chip supper with Lynne and Miranda.
On the Saturday we had a party at ours for 33 people (plus us); this year the 'theme' was 'Chilli & Cheesecake Christmas'
Everyone seemed to have a good time. 31 empty bottles were counted the next day.
From some accounts, at some point when it was quieter a handful (if you pardon the pun) of our friends turned our backroom... well into a 'backroom'.
On the Sunday evening we had a lovely 'Christmas Dinner' with just David and Richard.
which included of course a flaming Christmas pudding:
On Monday we went to see 'Fascinating Aida'.
On Wednesday evening I met Adrian and Bob (
bobalone) at the candlelit Soho Townhouse where they had just finished a scrumptious afternoon tea
and then we went to Balans' for cocktails.
(it was happy hour and we ordered 2 each - I was squiffy after the first one and Adrian had to drink the rest. Thank God for the Brits! LOL!)
On the Thursday we had another rehearsal for the panto, and on the Friday I met Adrian for a bite to eat at the Crypt at St. Martin-in-the-Fields
and then to the theatre to see
with Vanessa Redgrave, James Earl Jones and Boyd Gaines. It was very enjoyable.
