Good Friday
It's the Easter 4-day week-end!! And the weather is glorious. Sunny and 22 C/72 F !!
Last night we went to the Easter get-together organised by the cottages residents' association at a local pub; it turned out to be a quiz night with drinks and nibbles (and the gay/lesbian contingent was much higher than normal!! On the way home, Adrian and I were joking saying that the cottages could turn into a Wilton Manors)
Today we got up early (for a Bank Holiday) at 8 am. After breakfast, I chopped the old potato vine in the side garden. It took me over 2 hours and it was tricky: there isn't much room to move around, and there were lots of branches growing through the fence (Enid - our next door neighbour - was very happy to get rid of it).
Then Adrian stain painted one of the 2 trellis panels we bought last night
they'll probably go up on Sunday and then we'll plant the clematises.
Now off to the cinema (to see Pan's Labyrinth) after having something to eat (probably's Ed's Easy Diner)
