Second chance
Tonight we (Lynne, london1952 and I) gave "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" a second chance, after the preview that had to be cancelled a few weeks ago because of problems with Priscilla herself (the bus).
Priscilla is a name that appears in the New Testament and that became popular in England with the Puritans.
Well those poor Puritans would have had a seizure tonight!
The show was simply fantastic!
Yes it is probably all about being camp, costumes to die for and it is true the plot is much thinner than in the film (as pointed out by a few reviews in the papers).... but frankly who cares?
Everybody in the theatre had a hoot: it's a standing ovation every night!
